Knitting Milestones, etc.

Well, I've passed the midpoint on the baby blanket I'm knitting. For this pattern, you start with 3 stitches, and increase one every row. So the middle of the blanket is pretty wide. After that, you decrease one each row, so they start getting smaller. I am a few rows into the decreases now. I know the rows I've just done are still about the length of the last few I did before the midpoint, but they feel quicker. Probably a psychological thing: before the midpoint, you could theoretically keep increasing forever; after you start the decreases, there is a definite endpoint... 8^)

I joined Ravelry this week. More to the point, I requested an invitation to the site a while ago, and it just came yesterday evening. Of course, my wife has been more eager for me to get my invite than I have been. 8^)

I have a couple of job interviews lined up. I had a second interview with a place last week, but they decided to go with someone else. I have a phone interview lined up for next week Monday, and an in-person one for Thursday. :crosses his fingers.

The "gaming materials website" I mentioned before is coming along. I have posted a fair amount of my material to it. I still need to organize it a bit, though. I need to create some views that list the material by categories, and different sorting systems. I also have a friend (my brother-in-law's wife, she's a graphic designer) looking into creating a graphical layout for the site. I might not wait for that to be completely ready -- I'm pretty sure she has plenty else to keep her busy, and I understand. 8^)

KatieBeth has started laughing, and seems to be starting to enjoy being tickled. Nothing cuter than a happy baby. 8^)
