Not Like I Planned
Submitted by juujika on 22 July 2010 - 1:59amWell, folks, here I am, again, up late. We had a nice little succession of little girls keeping others awake. First, Kate did a bang-up job of keeping Daddy up too late, while Lily kept me up, then Lily fell asleep, and I tried to put her in bed, and take over getting Kate to sleep, sending Arazyr off to bed. Kate woke up Lily, who then hindered Kate's falling asleep process, and prevented mine. Finally, Kate fell asleep, and I took Lily into Mommy and Daddy's room, hoping to be able to nurse her to sleep, and drift off, myself.
Catching up
Submitted by juujika on 7 June 2010 - 12:38am...and, it is another late night blogging session, this time from my new iPod Touch. I actually got it a while ago, but it was after my last post. Typing is a bit weird on this thing, but I can reasonably thumb type, with a baby on my lap. I really can't do regular typing without running a substantial risk of disturbing my secondborn, as she nurses to sleep. My little darling is often quite the little bottomless pit, and today was definitely one of those days. While I certainly don't begrudge her the milk, it is a little impossible to do much else, while she's dining.
The Wee Hours, with a Wee Girl
Submitted by juujika on 28 April 2010 - 1:53amOnce again, I'm up late, with a sleepy baby on my lap, with only my knitting and the computer for company. Fortunately, I don't require a lot of company. I actually quite like having just a bit of quiet time more or less to myself. It is something I rarely get, these days, as a parent of two small children.
A Rare Ailment
Submitted by juujika on 7 April 2010 - 12:25amOne Little Kitten...
Submitted by juujika on 2 December 2009 - 1:00am... lost her mittens, and she began to cry... "Want mittens back!"
However, the little blue mittens, handknit from fingering weight merino wool that my darling girl picked out from the yarn store, herself, were nowhere to be found. Returning to the produce market (our only previous stop on our errands run), and conducting a search also failed to yield the mittens. Ditto with having a staff member check the lost and found. The mittens were just gone.
It's been HOW long?!?
Submitted by Arazyr on 2 July 2009 - 4:17amWow, it's been nearly a year since I posted a blog entry. Not a very good blogger, am I? 8^) Guess I've just been too busy / haven't thought of much to say. So, what am I up to? I've had computer issues. Been working on an RPG website. Taking care of my daughter. Working, and having a transition there. Playing RPGs. Playing Facebook games. 8^) Knitting, etc.
Sweaters, Classes, and Poison Ivy
Submitted by juujika on 28 June 2009 - 8:31amHey, I actually got back to this, before an entire month passed! I really need to find a way to get to this more often, because stuff that seems very blog-worthy at the time of occurrence seems less so, once a few weeks have passed, especially as any "fun" details fade.
Random Tuesday
Submitted by juujika on 2 June 2009 - 8:45pmWell, hello. Here ends another multiweek (5-6, I believe) gap in my blogging. As much as it disappoints me that I've lapsed for so long, there is some good news in my life:
My Etsy shop is up, and I've got a couple items listed, though I have three more that I really need to get up there. I also have to get some pictures to my sister-in-law, so she can help me make an actual banner for the shop.
Since my last post, I did manage to get one major yardwork session in. I did a lot of bush/tree trimming.
Progressing
Submitted by juujika on 27 April 2009 - 10:20pmWell, I'm signed up for my first class in my drive to my next degree/career. It is an online class that starts in July. It's a small thing, perhaps, but it is a beginning. I'm looking forward to it, even as I'm wondering how I'll manage future classes, around KB. One thing at a time, however. Besides, it feels good to have made a start.
Catching Up, and More Prayer, Please
Submitted by juujika on 17 March 2009 - 1:07pmI feel like I'm behind in everything - behind on the dishes, the cleaning, the accounts, getting a start on yardwork for the season, my knitting, blogging... pretty much you name it. So, first off, let me say that I really enjoyed my spinning class. I'm getting slightly better than "lousy" with a hand spindle, and I even got to try a wheel (with which I'm absolutely horrible). The ladies that run the shop where I took the class were very nice, and it is a great shop, in general. If I lived closer to it, I would SO hang out there, but alas, I don't.
