It is Arazyr's first day on his new job. For the first time in years, I'm to be home all day, when he's not. It's sort of an odd feeling. Not necessarily bad, just odd. Oddly... purposeful. By 10:00 am, I'd already gotten as much done around the house as I've been getting done in an entire day, of late. While KatyBeth slept, I made granola, put a huge dent in the dishes, and got a little cleaning in done in the bathroom. By 11:00, the baby was up, changed, dressed, and had more tummy time than she'll usually tolerate. I'm also aiming to start actually getting her on some sort of regular nap schedule, which she has sort of resisted, so far. Ambitious, isn't it?

Now, I can't blame you if you say "haven't you been home pretty much all day, every day, since just after Thanksgiving?", because yes, I have. I don't know why it is that I can't seem to get much done, when Arazyr is home, but for some reason, it is really tough for me to do housework, while he's here. It really doesn't make any sense - he's usually sitting on the couch, after all, which is hardly in my way. I suppose I could claim that I'm busy tending KatyBeth, as he's been having back problems, and is often not up to taking her for very long, but that is sort of countered by the fact that today, he can't take her at all, because he isn't even here, and I'm still getting more stuff done. I can come to only one conclusion. Yup, that's it - he must have an Aura of Laziness.
