Drive-by blogging
Submitted by juujika on 29 June 2010 - 12:35pmJust because I've got the strange desire to make a list of what I've done, today (possibly because I'm not sure I want to think too much about how much around here still needs to be done, here are my accomplishments for the day, so far:
• change diapers of a serial-pooping baby
• amuse said baby, who apparently decided that 4am was playtime, by letting her try to eat my hair
• eat breakfast (a bigger accomplishment than you might think, around here)
• straighten out a problem with an online catalog order I made recently
• unload the dishwasher
Catching up
Submitted by juujika on 6 June 2010 - 11:38pm...and, it is another late night blogging session, this time from my new iPod Touch. I actually got it a while ago, but it was after my last post. Typing is a bit weird on this thing, but I can reasonably thumb type, with a baby on my lap. I really can't do regular typing without running a substantial risk of disturbing my secondborn, as she nurses to sleep. My little darling is often quite the little bottomless pit, and today was definitely one of those days. While I certainly don't begrudge her the milk, it is a little impossible to do much else, while she's dining.
Domestic Fit
Submitted by juujika on 17 March 2010 - 11:30amI expected to have gone on some major cleaning binges, this week, but so far, at least, I haven't. This is possibly because I'm still running pretty short on sleep. This is not, however, to say that I haven't had some variety of domestic fits. I've gone on minor cleaning binges, I actually cooked dinner, over the weekend, I actually walked to the mall with the kids, yesterday, I've developed a wicked case of finish-it-up-itis in my knitting, and I've got homemade granola in the oven.
Recovery
Submitted by juujika on 9 March 2010 - 12:32amOnce again, I should probably be in bed, but I recently got up from an evening nap, and Arazyr and the girls are asleep, so I'm taking a bit of time to enjoy the quiet, and a bit of time to myself.
An Experience I Hope Never to Have to Repeat
Submitted by juujika on 16 February 2010 - 12:00amGood evening everyone, and welcome to my latest blog post, brought to you (like so many of them) by insomnia.
Long Overdue Update
Submitted by juujika on 1 September 2009 - 9:15amHey, look! It is another of my infrequent blog entries... not that it matters, as I don't think much of anybody reads this stuff, anyway, but...
I'm done with my nutrition class, and while I haven't gotten my official grade, yet, I know I'm getting an A - I got something like 96% of the possible points in the class, and that comes up as an A, pretty much no matter how you slice it. So... one class down.
Input!!!!
Submitted by juujika on 21 July 2009 - 10:19am...and so another large gap in the blog comes to an end.
Sweaters, Classes, and Poison Ivy
Submitted by juujika on 28 June 2009 - 7:31amHey, I actually got back to this, before an entire month passed! I really need to find a way to get to this more often, because stuff that seems very blog-worthy at the time of occurrence seems less so, once a few weeks have passed, especially as any "fun" details fade.
Random Tuesday
Submitted by juujika on 2 June 2009 - 7:45pmWell, hello. Here ends another multiweek (5-6, I believe) gap in my blogging. As much as it disappoints me that I've lapsed for so long, there is some good news in my life:
My Etsy shop is up, and I've got a couple items listed, though I have three more that I really need to get up there. I also have to get some pictures to my sister-in-law, so she can help me make an actual banner for the shop.
Since my last post, I did manage to get one major yardwork session in. I did a lot of bush/tree trimming.
Catching Up, and More Prayer, Please
Submitted by juujika on 17 March 2009 - 12:07pmI feel like I'm behind in everything - behind on the dishes, the cleaning, the accounts, getting a start on yardwork for the season, my knitting, blogging... pretty much you name it. So, first off, let me say that I really enjoyed my spinning class. I'm getting slightly better than "lousy" with a hand spindle, and I even got to try a wheel (with which I'm absolutely horrible). The ladies that run the shop where I took the class were very nice, and it is a great shop, in general. If I lived closer to it, I would SO hang out there, but alas, I don't.
