On Cue...

Hey, look! I'm managing to blog, after only about 2 weeks of gap. I was going to start off by describing the peacefulness of this late morning, as I sit here, up, dressed, breakfasted, and having gotten the dishwasher going, with the kids still sleeping, but just as I began to type, Kate came wandering down the hall in her pajamas, carrying her stuffed Baby Elmo toy, and the box that serves as his bed. I supposed I should probably go check on Lily, soon. She was sleeping peacefully, after the "upside down" diaper change I accomplished, earlier this morning. That is, she was snoozing on her tummy, and I managed to change her diaper without rolling her over, or waking her up (though she did squirm in her sleep, a bit). Just in case anybody had a knee-jerk reaction to the concept of a baby sleeping on her stomach, rest assured that it's fine - she is quite proficient at rolling over.
I had also been thinking that in my knitting update, I would muse further about what to pick up and knit on next (I actually sat on the couch, watching TV with no knitting in my hands, for a bit, last night - it felt weird), when I noticed an email message from Arazyr, giving me the specifics for a custom design he wants put on something I've been working on for him. (The project had been stalled, awaiting this information). Just a quick list of works in progress:
- my current traveling sock
- an iPod case for Arazyr
- a lace project as a surprise for a friend
- the scrapghan (not touched in a while>
...and, apparently just to continue the trend, I took a break after the last paragraph, during which I discovered that Lily was awake, and that one side of her diaper had come unfastened, and that she had apparently "leaked" that way - the cloth I left under her bottom was soaked, and further, she had rolled off of it, and so the bed was wet, too. I think I need to either shut up, or possibly try commenting on the condition of something that I want changed, just to test the extent of this phenomenon.
