The Dark Side of 25 Things

In general, it has been fun to see most people's "25 Things". Even on the occasion that I see something in one of them that I particularly dislike, it has tended to be in the list of someone that I haven't actually seen in a long time, and I've been easily able to just shrug it off... until today. I read the list of a current friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, and spent several minutes afterward feeling disappointed and slightly depressed, on account of it. I have long considered this person a very nice person, but the language used in some of the items was of the most offensive sort, and I'm disappointed to learn my friend uses such so easily. There were other items that made me seriously lament a few of this individual's life choices, upon which I had never been filled in. I know that those choices are not mine to make for my friend, nor should they be, but it still grieves me to see some of them staring at me, in print.
O nameless friend, I know that the choices you chose not to tell me about are none of my business, and while it would not be the act of a friend to give you grief about the way you have chosen to exercise your free will (especially when you haven't asked), I could also not be called a friend, if I didn't care about the course you take in life. I won't be bringing this up in person, because, as already noted, you never asked me about any of it, so I have to assume you don't want my opinion. If you do want to talk about it, I'll be here for you, but don't ask for my opinion unless you want me to answer honestly. In the meantime, despite the fact that I know you don't put much stock in such things, I'll be praying for you. Sorry, but that is not negotiable.
And now, if the rest of you will excuse me, I could use a humor break.
